From the onset of meeting Kaylee and Joe, I knew this day would be a special one. And that is not only due to the fact that all of my pre wedding meetings with Kaylee ended up being just an awesome coffee date full of fun conversation, with a little business thrown in.One of the aspects I enjoy most of joining couples on the incomparably special day of their wedding, is to watch and be a small part of experiencing the family dynamics. From the minute I walked into Kaylee’s hotel room, it was very clear that she was surrounded by people who loved her and were completely FOR her. Kaylee celebrated her wedding day without the physical presence of her mom, who she lost when she was very young, BUT, her day was filled with precious details and momentos dedicated to her momma. From the beautiful embroidary right on her wedding gown, to her handmade garder made from her mother’s wedding dress, to wearing her mother’s wedding ring throughout the day- the dedication to making her mother a special part of the day was very clear. As we discussed our wedding schedule and checklist, Kaylee made it abundantly clear how very special her aunts were to her and to make sure we capture the special relationship she has with them. And from a photographers perspective, the love that Tammy and Jodi have for Kaylee is so abundant and overflowing that all we had to do was show up with camera in hand. Thank you Joe for allowing Erin to come hang out with you guys pre-wedding. The love you have for Hunter and for Kaylee is unquestionable.
The joining of Kaylee and Joe was not only the beginning of oneness with these two individuals, but of a family. And so, I was especially blessed to have an opportunity to capture a special first look with Kaylee and Joe’s (INCREDIBLY WELL MANNERED) and obviously handsome son, Hunter.
Thank you Joe, Kaylee, to your awesome wedding party and to the Henruds and Bushys for allowing Erin and I to share your day with you. From beginning to end, it was our pleasure.
