Kit + Brennan | Grand Forks Wedding Photographer

I could not have asked for a sweeter couple or more wonderful families to have spent a chilly Saturday with.  I met Kit and Brennan over Caribou coffee about 6 months before the wedding- and I knew that day that this wedding would be something extra special.  These two young people are so clearly in love- with each other, and with the Lord they both follow so whole heartedly.   This was so clear in the ceremony, in the reception, and with the friends they chose to surround themselves with.  Much attention was paid to all of the lovely details to make this winter wedding spectacularly beautiful- but even more was paid to reflecting their relationships with the Lord and their desire to honor Him with their lives as One.  I was blessed to photograph their closest friends and family share in the committing of their lives to one another, and lay hands on this wonderful young couple to pray for the blessing and guidance of the Lord over their new life.

Kit and Brennan- I hope the Bahamas was AWESOME and I will be seeing you both soon!

And no wedding post would be complete without much deserved credit to my second photographer Erin of Soulshine Photography!

The Ullrich Family

It is sessions like these that remind me why I do what I do.  With life and responsibilty, school and work separating families- the occasion to bring everyone together is a rare one.  And so -less than 24 hours before one of the boys flew back to North Carolina- the whole family was together for our Lincoln Park session. We were blessed with the most beautiful, mild weather and gorgeous sunset light.  It was not only a treat to have been a part of capturing such a wonderful and fun family, but celebrating 50 years of marriage for Jerry & Ina.  Thank you again to the Ullrich family for trusting us with such a special occasion, it was truly a blessing to have been a part of.

And of course, a HUGE thank you to the lady quickly becoming my “photographer other half” – Erin Phillips of Soulshine Photography!

The final image in this preview we will call “What every 6 year old boy thinks at the end of an extended family photo session” 😉

Amanda | Breckenridge Minnesota Senior Photographer

This is my third opportunity to work with Amanda’s family as their photographer- and this session will fall under my favorites of 2015.  I so enjoyed traveling around Grand Forks and chatting with Amanda and her sweet mom Kim.  It is refreshing as a photographer to meet a senior with a very obviously sweet and tender personality- and a heart for adventure!

Jaeger – 8 days new | Grand Forks Lifestyle Newborn Photography

I had the pleasure of spending my Friday morning playing in the backyard with 3 year old Camden and snuggling his new sweet brother Jaeger.  This little sweetheart was bright eyed from the minute I got there.  Brianne & Braden, it was a pleasure to spend the morning with your family.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and your 2 sweet boys!  I hope these images capture some of the sweetness of your lovely family.2015-07-10_00012015-07-10_00022015-07-10_00032015-07-10_00042015-07-10_00292015-07-10_00052015-07-10_00282015-07-10_0027

Dawson & Morgan | Gorecki Alumni Center | Grand Forks Wedding Photographer

This all started when Morgan, who is an experienced dancer, was in high school and short one dance partner.  And so she asked a blue eyed boy she went to school with if he was willing to dance with her in an upcoming recital.  And now 5 years and 6 recitals later- I had the great pleasure of spending the day with their families while they commited their lives to one another.  This wedding, for me, was a great pleasure to have been invited to be a part of.  I have had the opportunity to have been Dawson’s senior photographer, as well as their family photographer for several years.   From the clear bond of friendship that exists between Morgan and her bridesmaids (and sorority sisters!) to the sweet tender moment of a father’s first look- this was such an honor to have been able to document. Beginning at the beautiful and contemporary Gorecki Alumni Center in Grand Forks, and continuing the celebration with a gorgeous reception at the Ramada Inn.  I especially enjoyed the wonderfully choreographed first dance.  How beautiful to end a wedding day with a romantic representation of what started it all!

Morgan & Dawson- it has been so sweet to work with you two and observe just how much in love the two of you are.  We wish you two so much blessing!

And this could not be complete without a thank you to my awesome second photographer- Erin Phillips of Soulshine Photography!!
